 Hey folks,
Welcome to my website, technology surely has changed since the days of the early blacksmith, but farrier science basically remains the same. 2000 years and we are still nailing steel to the bottom of horses' feet...Why? Because it works! It is still the best basic, common sense protection for our horses' feet.
What has changed over this time? Our rate of communication and the exchange of information have drastically changed. These reasons have lead me to the creation of this site. Not only do I want to use this site as an advertising tool, but also I would hope that this could become a meeting point between horse owners and farriers to find common sense answers and exchange ideas here in cyber space.
My "Case studies" link has some pictures of a few of the more interesting cases I have encountered. I strive to do the best I can on every horse I work on and gather a great deal of satisfaction from "fixing" some of the more complex cases.
The "Horseshoe'n chat" link allows anyone to instantly chat with others and myself in this community. I am generally on most evenings.
The "Ask the Farrier" link allows you to post a question for me to answer, while I don't know everything, I can research questions through my extensive library and contacts throughout the farrier industry.
The "Farriers Workshop" link is designed for farriers to discuss and/or debate different ideas within our profession. I know there are "50 different ways to bake a cake", so lets all try and respect others ideas and opinions and act like adults in here.
Please enjoy this site and use it for all it's worth.
